Developing creative ways to solving problems and learning about properties of materials and how to produce technical drawings for manufacture.


Course details

Qualification: Level 3

Unit Titles: Unit 1 – Engineering Principles. Unit 2 – Delivery of Engineering Processes Safely as a Team. Unit 3 – Engineering Product Design and Manufacture. Unit 4 – Optional unit. 

Key skills required: A passion for problem solving, technical drawing (CAD), Maths and hard work. 

Entry Requirements: Grade 4’s or above at GCSE level including either English or Maths and Grade 5 in Food and Nutrition or a Science at GCSE

  • BEng (Hons) in Engineering 
  • BEng (Hons) in Electronics Engineering 
  • BSc (Hons) in Computer Science 
  • BSc (Hons) in Mathematics 

Complementary subjects: A-level in Mathematics or Physics, which would allow students to progress to higher education to study engineering or other STEM-related programmes.
